Alabama basketball to host Kansas State in Big 12/SEC Challenge

Crimson Tide to play in showcase event pairing leagues for fourth time

The Southeastern Conference announced the Alabama men’s basketball program will play Kansas State in the seventh annual Big 12/SEC Challenge.

The Crimson Tide and Wildcats will square off at Coleman Coliseum on Jan. 25, 2020.

Television and tip times will be announced at a later time.

This will be Alabama’s fourth appearance in the Big 12/SEC Challenge, with a 2-1 record including a perfect 2-0 mark when playing at home in the event.

The Tide’s only loss was this past season at Baylor, 73-68.

Alabama was victorious in home games against Texas Tech, 74-64, on Nov. 13, 2013, in the first year of the event and then-No. 12 Oklahoma, 80-73, on Jan. 27, 2018. UA did not participate in the challenge for three consecutive seasons (2015-17).

All of this year's games will be on the same day. All 10 games will be aired across ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN. Start times and network designations will be announced at a later date.
