Demouy Kennedy, one of the top prospects in the state of Alabama, committed to the Crimson Tide on Sunday morning.
Theodore four-star linebacker told AL.com that he was recruited to play Jack, the hybrid linebacker/defensive end position in Nick Saban's defensive scheme currently manned by Anfernee Jennings.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Kennedy is a consensus 4-star linebacker from Theodore, Ala. He's rated as the No. 2 player in the state, the No. 6 outside linebacker in the nation and the No. 96 overall player in the nation by the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
The one-time auburn commitment finished last season with 100 tackles, including 15 for a loss, and 12 sacks.
Kennedy is the fifth linebacker in the class, joining Chris Braswell, Drew Sanders, Jackson Bratton, and De'Rickey Wright, and the 19th commitment in the recruiting Class of 2020.
