Alabama junior Najee Harris has been named to the 2019 Doak Walker Award Watch List, announced by the SMU Athletic Forum on Wednesday.
For his career, Harris has 1,153 rushing yards on 178 carries, and scored seven touchdowns in 29 games. He averaged a team-high 6.7 yards per carry average in 2018, and 6.5 over his career.
However, this season Harris is expected to be the Crimson Tide's primary ball carrier for the first time.
Alabama players have won the Doak Walker twice, the most recent being Derrick Henry in 2015. Trent Richardson was the first Crimson Tide winner in 2011.
The semifinalists will be named Nov. 20.
