I never post things online about politics because I think it's pointless. I do however respect our veterans and those who served and died no matter what war it was in, who they were, or what they had to do. They did it for our country, so we can be free to have postings that are free for us to say what we please, so we can call God by whatever name we believe. If you are an American in France you should visit the Normandy Memorial Cemetary. It will put tears in your eyes looking upon the rows, and rows, and rows of crosses and Stars of David. Each one representing a man who charged off of a landing craft or jumped out of an airplane and helped to liberate Europe from evil and tyranny. Political beliefs aside, I think we all should in your own way thank all those who gave their lives so we might live in freedom and peace.

In the words of General Mark W. Clark:

"IF EVER PROOF WERE NEEDED THAT WE FOUGHT FOR A CAUSE AND NOT FOR CONQUEST, IT COULD BE FOUND IN THESE CEMETERIES. HERE WAS OUR ONLY CONQUEST: ALL WE ASKED … WAS ENOUGH … SOIL IN WHICH TO BURY OUR GALLANT DEAD."
