Facing their first FBS opponent this season, Baylor rolled with quarterback Charlie Brewer and he delivered.

Brewer completed 23 of 34 passes for 328 yards and 3 TDs, leading the Bears to a 37-20 victory over Texas-San Antonio on Saturday at the Alamodome.

Baylor wide receiver Jalen Hurd caught 8 passes for 136 yards and a TD and teammate Denzel Mims had an almost identical line with 8 receptions for 133 yards and a TD.

By stiff-arming the Roadrunners in the second half, Baylor guaranteed it will have an improved season over its struggles of 2017. The Bears, who finished 1-11 last season, are now 2-0.
