The Cleveland Browns rookies went to the Pro Football Hall of Fame and helped host a youth camp. A few of them took some questions from reporters including Sheldrick Redwine. The fourth-round pick from Miami(FL) was asked about his former Hurricane, current teammate Jhavonte Dean. Dean was signed as an undrafted free agent and has made a few notable plays that drew praise from head coach Freddie Kitchens.
Redwine discussed how he and Dean have known each other from the time they were kids, played against each other in high school before they were teammates in college. He was happy to see Dean sign with the Browns, was hoping there was a way he and all of his teammates could play together in the pros.
Specifically talking about Dean's skill set, he said he's blazing fast, has great make up speed. Redwine says he brings a dawg mentality, has all the intangibles, coverage ability, everything needed to succeed in the NFL.
Redwine is proud of what Dean has been able to do in his short time with the Browns, bringing the same assets that enabled him to succeed at Miami. He's glad he's been able to get noticed making plays on the ball so far in camp.
