Cal Basketball: Three-Star Forward Prospect to Choose Between Bears & WSU

Announcement due on Thursday from native of Kenya, who lived in Sudan and Australia before coming to the U.S.

Kuany Kuany, a 6-foot-9, 200-pound forward who plays for Prolific Prep in Napa, announced on Twitter he will choose between Cal and Washington State and make his announcement on Thursday.

Kuany was born in Kenya, moved to South Sudan, and then to Melbourne, Australia before coming to the U.S.

Rated as a 3-star prospect by Rivals and 247Sports, he narrowed his college choices to three schools with new coaches: Cal (Mark Fox), Washington State (Kyle Smith) and Nevada (Steve Alford). But on Wednesday he suggested on social media that the field is down to the Bears and Cougars.

Fox has yet to land a recruit since taking over as Wyking Jones' replacement a month ago.
