Cal Football: Bears Announce Early-Season Kickoff Times & TV Information

Cal's first two home games -- UC Davis and North Texas -- will have afternoon start times

Cal football fans who enjoy matinees will be treated to afternoon kickoffs for the Bears’ first two home games this fall.

Cal announced its early-season TV information and starting times, and the Bears’ Aug. 31 opener against UC Davis at Memorial Stadium will begin at 3:30 p.m. and will be shown on the Pac-12 Network.

The Sept. 14 home game against North Texas is set for a 1:15 p.m. kickoff. The game will either be shown on the Pac-12 Networks or Pac-12 Bay Area.

Cal’s home game against Arizona State on Friday, Sept. 27 will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be televised by ESPN.

The Bears will open their Pac-12 schedule at Washington on Sept. 7, starting at 7:30 p.m. on FoxSports1.

ESPN will televise Cal’s Sept. 21 game at Ole Miss, with the starting time set to be announced six or 12 days in advance.

The starting times and TV schedule for Cal’s remaining games also will be announced six or 12 days before each game.
