Cal Football Video: Bears Excited For Saturday's Spring Game

Annual event begins at 11 a.m. and will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks

Cal defensive coordinator Tim DeRuiter (in video above) talks about how the defense had to let the offense win during a "ghost" session Friday. It wasn't easy for the defense to accommodate that plan, DeRuiter acknowledged. It won't be the case on Saturday when the Bears will scrimmage live in their annual spring game.

The event is open to the public, beginning at 11 a.m. The event also will be shown live on the Pac-12 Networks.

Cal still has three spring practices next week before breaking until the start of fall camp in August.
