Cal Football Video: Can Bears Collect More INTs and Pick-Sixes Than Last Year?

Senior safety says there is no reason a smarter, older defense can't add to 2018's gaudy totals

Cal's defense ranked second in the nation last season with 21 interceptions, and players who accounted for 20 of those have returned to this year's team.

Likewise, the Bears' defense contributed six pick-sixes to complement an offense that often needed all the help it could get.

In the video above, senior safety Jaylinn Hawkins addresses whether the Bears can add to those numbers in 2019.

Hawkins led the Pac-12 with six interceptions, but he didn't have a pick-six. He tells us he plans to remedy that situation this fall.
