Cal Football Video: Chase Garbers Says Offense Has a Lot to Work On

Cal QB admitted the offense got off to a slow start in Tuesday's scrimmage, but he was impressed with RB Collins

Cal's offense did not do much in the early going of Tuesday's scrimmage against the Bears' first-team defense. But the attack did get better.

"We started out pretty slow as an offense," Garbers said. "We have a lot of things to clean up. Way too many penalties in my opinion."

However, he was impressed with the running backs.

"DeShawn Collins really stood out," Garbers said.

Collins, a junior college transfer from City College of San Francisco, had several solid runs and he made two would-be tacklers miss on a 15-yard swing pass.
