Former Cal linebacker Jordan Kunaszyk, in the video above, explains how the coaching staff breaks down opponents' film, allowing players to study formations and tendencies that can create an advantage on game days.
Kunaszyk said he could call up video clips of any specific play or formation an opposing team might use, then study that in order to get a handle on what play would look like and how the Bears could best counter it.
Making it work, he said, is no different than studying for one of his classes. Repetition is the key. Watch it once, you likely don't retain what you're seeing. But play it back over and over and over, and it becomes a familiar look on the field Saturday.
