Cal Football Video: Jordan Kunaszyk Prepares to be Ready when Opportunity Knocks

Former Cal linebacker isn't certain to be taken in NFL Draft, but will work out on campus all next month

With his Pro Day workout in for NFL scouts now in the rear-view mirror, linebacker Jordan Kunaszyk will remain on campus for the next month in preparation for the April 25-27 draft.

He plans to train at Cal, under the guidance of football strength and conditioning coach Torre Becton, and is trying not to sweat what's coming next.

"I'm just taking it day by day, really. I can only control what I can control," Kunaszyk said. "And that's just being the best I can every day and working out hard. And when I get that phone call, be ready for the opportunity."

Kunaszyk was not invited to the NFL combine, but he will work out at local pro days set up by the Raiders (April 11) and 49ers (April 17).

Beyond that, he said, he has "no expectations" for what might happen during the three-day NFL draft. No Cal player is projected to be selected during the draft.
