Cal Baseball: Two More Two-Baggers for Andrew Vaughn in High-A Ball

Former Cal All-American reaches base four times for the Winston-Salem Dash

For the second time in five days, Andrew Vaughn delivered two doubles in a game for the High-A Winston-Salem Dash on Tuesday night.

The former Cal star reached base four times in his five plate appearances as the visiting Dash beat the Carolina Muscats 7-3. Vaughn doubled twice, walked twice, scored a run and drove in two.

He also had two doubles last Thursday against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans.

Drafted No. 3 overall by the Chicago White Sox in June, Vaughn is batting .275 for the Dash, his third different stop in the club’s farm system. Previously, Vaughn played for the White Sox’s rookie league team in Arizona and for the Low-A Kannapolis Intimidators.
