Cal finishes the regular season with a three-game series at Washington that begins on Thursday.
The Bears (30-18, 15-11 Pac-12) look to be in good position to land a berth in the postseason, with D1Baseball projecting this week that the Bears would be a No. 2 seed in one of the eight four-team regionals. The selections for the 64-team postseason field will be announced on Monday. Cal is hoping for its first postseason berth since 2015.
Cal is trying not to focus on the postseason yet, trying instead to pay attention to Washington (28-22, 12-15). The Huskies were swept in a three-game series against No. 1-ranked UCLA over the weekend, but they had won 11 of their previous 13 games.
Cal is coming off a split of a two-game series against Arizona State.
The games on Thursday and Friday begin at 6 p.m., with Saturday's finale slated to start at noon.
