Cardinals sign Cap Capi

The Cardinals announced that the team has signed defensive end Cap Capi to a one-year contract.

Tempe, AZ – The Arizona Cardinals announced that the team has signed defensive end CAP CAPI to a one-year contract and has waived/injured defensive end BRYSON ALBRIGHT. In accordance with club policy, terms were not disclosed.

Capi (6-2, 249) rejoins the Cardinals after spending the 2016 season on Arizona’s practice squad and training camp with the team in 2017. The 26-year old Capi totaled five tackles, one sack and a forced fumble in four games with the Bills last season after collecting two special teams tackles in four games with the Giants. He originally joined the Giants practice squad after being released by Arizona. Capi entered the league with Jacksonville in 2015 as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Akron.

In his two seasons at Akron, Capi had 70 tackles, seven sacks, 15 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and three passes defensed after beginning his college career at Colorado State.

Capi will wear jersey #61.
