Anthony Lynn: The Titans 'Are a Very Physical Team'

Chargers HC addresses the media about injury updates, practicing in Cleveland, and thoughts preparing for Tennessee.

On DE Joey Bosa:

"He's training right now back home. He's getting rehab. He's still on schedule. Hopefully we'll see him sooner than later, but that's about it."

On the importance of the bye week for Bosa:

"I think it's going to be really important for him. It'll give us another week and not have the stress of missing a game. I think it can do nothing but help him."

On T Joe Barksdale:

"He's getting close."

On if Barksdale will play Sunday:

"He may have to. It wouldn't surprise me if he got a few snaps."

On K Caleb Sturgis:

"He was limited today. We'll see how it goes throughout the week, but that may be [a] game-time [decision] again."

On Wednesday's practice:

"I thought being here in another city, using someone else's facilities, I thought the guys focused and locked in well. I thought it was a nice, crisp practice."

On LB Jatavis Brown:

"It's the same [injury]. He was limited today. I'm sure he'll get better as the week goes on. We'll see. He'll probably be a game-time decision as well."

On LB Kyzir White:

"I think he's right on track. His rehab is going well. He did some things last week on the field. He did some things today as a matter of fact. I expect him to be back sooner than later."

On playing with six or seven defensive backs on the field:

"That's the key right there, when you said [S Adrian] AP [Phillips]. AP can play in the box. He can play in the middle of the field. He can play the sky safety. He is the versatility that we need to do all the things that we're doing with the dime package. He really makes it work because he can do so many things."

On S Adrian Phillips:

"For a guy that was undrafted and a free agent tryout, to even be on a roster, it really doesn't surprise me because he has already surprised a lot of people."

On Tennessee:

"This team was 3-1 coming out of the first quarter [of the season]. They won three in a row and beat the world champions. This team can play football. They've lost the last couple. We expect them to bounce back this week. It's probably the most physical front seven we've seen all year. It's going to be a heck of a challenge."

On the Tennessee defense and offense:

"It's their scheme. They get after your front. Like I said, they're a very physical team up front. They stop the run. They can make you one dimensional. Whenever a defense can do that, it can really hurt your offense. Offensively, they have weapons on offense. They lost their starting tight end so they're not getting the production at the tight end position that they're used to getting, but those backs and that quarterback, they can move the sticks."

On P Donnie Jones:

"Donnie has done his job. He's only played [two] games, but I can tell you he has done his job."

On Jones' punting:

"Last week, I thought the hang time was a little [short]. He can improve and get better with the hang time on his punting, but the holding has been just fine."

On if Jones has brought stability to the kicking operation:

"I believe so. With his experience holding over all the years and his experience with Caleb [Sturgis], he has definitely brought some calmness to the operation."
