Hudson-Odoi has been out with an Achilles injury, whilst Reece James suffered an ankle injury.
But with the international break in full swing, the Blues could have them back once players' return to their clubs.
According to injury analyst Ben Dinnery, the pair are set to return once the break has ended, or at the very latest by the end of the month.
There is also a suggestion Reece James could feature for the U23's against Brighton at Stamford Bridge next week.
The Blues' next Premier League game is against Wolves, which is then followed by a home Champions League tie against Valencia.
In particular with Reece James, the earlier the pair are back, the better for Frank Lampard after the Blues have had a tough start defensively this season conceding nine goals in four Premier League outings.
