Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta rues missed chances at Old Trafford

Chelsea were given a reality check on the opening day of the season against Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.

A Marcus Rashford double, and goals from Anthony Martial and Dan James capped off a fine afternoon in Manchester for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men.

But it left Chelsea thinking ‘what could’ve been’ as they hit the woodwork twice.

Cesar Azpilicueta reflected on the defeat, and insists his side have to improve in both boxes: "It went away from us in both boxes, we were not clinical enough, it is up to us to improve in that part of the pitch."

It doesn’t get any easier for Frank Lampard’s side as they head to Turkey on Monday for the UEFA Super Cup against Liverpool on Wednesday night.
