Auburn Quarterback Commitment Kobe Hudson Highlights and Scouting Report

Highlights and Scouting Report on Auburn quarterback commitment Kobe Hudson.

Kobe Hudson (6'2/195) is a quarterback at Troup County High School in LaGrange, Ga. that is committed to the Auburn Tigers.

Hudson has excellent size, quickness and power running the ball. He's spent some time at wide receiver for Troup in the past, but he's made a name for himself as a spread option quarterback.

While not a clean pocket thrower, Hudson has a fairly quick release, enough arm to keep a defense honest, and good accuracy. Watching him, he's similar to a bigger, more powerful version of Nick Marshall who starred at quarterback for Auburn.

There is a spot for him in the Gus Malzahn offense at quarterback, but like Marshall, is long term future could be at another position. Hudson has all the tools to be a star wide receiver, where Marshall made the NFL as a corner.

Hudson has been committed to Auburn for nearly a year already, having pledged to the Tigers Spring of 2018.

No. 1-1

My how times have changed. 15 years ago, I would have moved this kid to wide receiver the second he stepped on campus. But we've seen run first, pass second quarterbacks have a lot of success on the college level. This kid isn't an NFL QB, but he can be a really effective college quarterback, and that's all that Auburn fans are going to care about.
