Ohio State's DE Chase Young will not play against Maryland after his suspension for an NCAA violation

The University of Maryland Terrapins have had their share of struggles this season, tumbling down to a 3-6 record with a four-game losing streak.

Their schedule does not get any easier as they will be taking on the no. 3 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes this Saturday. Fortunately for the Terps, the Buckeyes will be without their top playmaker on the defense due to a suspension for an NCAA violation.

Young is a junior from Hyattsville, Maryland and he has been a dominant force for Ohio State all season long. Young currently leads the FBS with 13.5 sacks and is second with 15.5 tackles for loss. He was not only considered to be the favorite to win the Heisman, but also considered to be the top overall prospect in the 2020 NFL Draft.

He should not have to worry about a drop in his draft stock as he has already proven to be dynamic game-changer. If he does declare for the NFL Draft after the season, it might be best for him to sit out the remaining games to preserve his health. The Maryland native is half a sack away from breaking Vernon Gholston's single-season record.

Even with the loss of Young, Ohio State still own one of the top college defenses in football.  Josh Jackson and the Terps have struggled since their 2-0 start on the season. They will need to get the ground game rolling and throw to their top receiver Dontay Demus early in order to have a shot at a victory.
