Hurricanes first home loss of the season by the numbers

Miami quarterback Jarren Williams threw three interceptions in the Hurricanes' first three offensive drives of the game.

Virginia Tech quarterback Hendon Hooker scored a touchdown on the ground to cap off the Hokies' opening drive.

Williams' best offensive play was a 11 yard run. He was benched for the remainder of the game after completing 4-of-7 passes for 47 yards, no touchdowns and three interceptions. He also left the game with -2 rushing yards.

Virginia Tech tight end Dalton Keene caught all three of Hooker's touchdown passes.

The Hurricanes defense were held without a turnover.

N'Kosi Perry took over at quarterback and completed 28-of-47 passes for 422 yards and four touchdowns against one interception.

Miami wide receiver Jeff Thomas caught six passes for 124 yards and a team leading two touchdowns.

Miami linebacker Michael Pinckney led the Hurricanes with 11 tackles.
