FRIDAY INJURY REPORT: Irving still out after leaving practice on Thursday

Zack Martin back to work on a limited basis.

DL David Irving left practice on Thursday with a high-ankle sprain and missed practice on Friday. Several sources reported that he was carted off the practice field, but initial tests were negative. His status for Monday night is questionable.

TE Geoff Swaim sprained his left MCL during the Cowboys’ loss at Washington and didn’t practice Thursday or Friday.

RG Zack Martin missed practice on Thursday with a knee injury, then returned to practice on a limited basis on Friday. Garrett addressed Martin’s injury during his Thursday press conference and seemed optimistic that Martin would play against Tennessee.

DE Randy Gregory had arthroscopic knee surgery during the bye week. He didn’t practice on Thursday or Friday, but has not been ruled out to play this week versus Tennessee.

WR Tavon Austin did not practice on Thursday or Friday with a groin injury. He missed the Redskins game and is doubtful this week against Tennessee.

CB Chidobe Awuzie is still listed with an ankle injury, but went through a full practice on Thursday and Friday. He played in Washington and had 3 tackles and broke up a pass.

CB Byron Jones missed practice for a non-injury-related reason on Thursday, but retuned for a full practice on Friday.

LB Joe Thomas missed practice on Thursday and Friday with a foot injury. He hasn’t played in the last two games.
