Kentucky QB Terry Wilson to miss the rest of the 2019 season

Wilson tore his patellar tendon in his left knee last night against Eastern Michigan. The junior quarterback was enjoying a solid start to his season, going 33-52 (63.5%) for 360 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. he also added 44 yards and a score on the ground.

He was carted off the field in the third quarter against EMU, and replaced by junior Sawyer Smith, who went 5/9 for 76 yards and two touchdowns in Wilson's place. Kentucky went on to beat EMU, 38-17.

The Gators will travel to Lexington, KY this weekend to take on the Wildcats. Losing Wilson certainly hurts for Kentucky, who opened as a 10-point underdog to Florida. But considering Sawyer's strong start in Wilson's place, there's no way the Gators can take this game lightly.
