NCAA Football Week 3: Georgia stays at #3 in the AP poll, LSU rising

Georgia remains locked into the #3 spot on the AP poll for the third straight week, and after their win over Texas, LSU made the biggest jump this weekend.

We all know that the College Football Playoff committee's vote is the only one that truly matters, but we won't see those until November 5th at the earliest. So, for now the AP poll will just have to do.

A couple of Notes:

  • The Associated Press's point system would indicate that they believe Clemson and Alabama have separated themselves from the rest of the pack.
  • With just 94 points separating #3 UGA & #6 Ohio State, there are arguments to be made for 4 programs for the last two playoff spots as of today.
  • It took double overtime at home despite being a 22 pt. favorite for Michigan to beat Army this weekend and they only dropped three spots.
  • Washington was held to just 162 passing yards against Cal. Taking a tough home loss, dropping them 9 spots, the most of any team this week.
