The Rockies and Cubs finished their season series Wednesday, antagonistically bidding good riddance to each other at Coors Field where four players were hit by pitches, including Rockies star third baseman Nolan Arenado.
The teams won't meet again this year, unless it's in the postseason.
“If we played them again, it could be a pretty spicy series,” Arenado said. “Hopefully, we make the playoffs, and if they do too, we’ll see what happens.”
Arenado was removed from the game with a left forearm contusion. X-rays were negative, and Arenado said he hopes to play Thursday night.
Chicago’s 10-1 win ended a three-game series in which seven players were hit with pitches.
