Farm Report: Albuquerque Bats Play Role in PCL Winning Triple-A All-Star Game

Albuquerque outfielder Yonathan Daza tripled home one run and scored another in the Pacific Coast League's four-run second inning, helping the PCL to a 9-3 victory against the International League in the Triple-A All-Star Game in El Paso.

Albuquerque first baseman Roberto Ramos came off the bench to draw a walk and score a run in the seventh. Ramos also singled. Sam Hilliard, a third Isotopes position player in the game, started and went 0-for-2 with two strikeouts.

In the Eastern League All-Star Game, the Rockies' Hartford affiliate came out on the losing end of a 5-0 West Division victory against the East Division. Second baseman Alan Trejo was 1-for-2, collecting one of the two East Division hits. Colton Welker came off the bench and went 0-for-1 with a walk. Alexander Guillen (one inning, one hit) and Heath Holder (two-thirds of an inning, one hit, one strikeout) both made a scoreless appearance.

AAA Albuquerque (37-53) was off for the Triple-A All-Star Game.

AA Hartford (9-10, 46-40) was off for the Eastern League All-Star Game.

Advanced A Lancaster (12-9, 46-43) lost 15-2 against Stockton (A's). Matt Hearn (.316) extended his hitting streak to 10 games with a triple. Matt McLaughlin (.276) was 2-for-4, driving in one run, and also scoring a ru on a single by Sean Bouchard (.288), who was 2-for-3. Lucas Gilbreath (3-7, 6.30) gave up seven runs, five earned, on eight hits and two walks, striking out four in three innings.

A Asheville (10-10, 39-51) won 1-0 against Greenville (Braves). Nick Bush (4-7, 4.99) allowed two hits and a walk, striking out seven in seven shutout innings. PJ Poulin (2.81) earned his third save. The game's only run scored with two out in the fifth when LeeMarcus Boyd (.231) singled, and scored on a double by Daniel Montano (.240), who was 3-for-4.

Short-season A Boise (13-13) was off.

Rookie Grand Junction (13-11) won 5-4 against Great Falls (White Sox), its fourth win in five games. Eddy Diaz (.330) devliered the game-tying single in the seventh,and then scored on a two-run single by Christian Koss (.387). Anderson Bido (2-0, 2.92) worked a shutout inning, striking out one and earning the win. Gavin Hollowell (3.00) earned his fourth save, allowed one run on two hits, striking out one in one inning. Mike Ruff (4.50) started and allowed one hit, striking out three in three shutout innings.
