Farm Report: Grand Junction Opens Pioneer League Playoffs Sunday vs. Ogden

The Rockies Rookie League Grand Junction affiliate finished off it's regular-season with a 7-6 victory at Rocky Mountain (Berwers) on Sunday night, and opens the first-round of the Pioneer League Playoffs by hosting Dodger affiliate Ogden in Game 1 of the best-of-three series.

The remaining games in the best-of-three playoff will be played in Ogden. The winner of the series will advance to the finals against the winner of the North Division playoff between Billings (Reds) and Idaho Falls (Royals).

Noah Gotsis (1-1, 4.20) earned the victory out in the regular-season finale, working two shutout innings of relief, allowing two hits and striking out one. Eric Hepple (5.00) allowed one run and struck out two in two innings of relief for his fifth save. Andrew Quezada (7.20) started and allowed two runs on four hits and a walk, striking out three in four innings.

Julio Careras (.294) was 3-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI. Brent Doyle (.383) was 3-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI. Bladimir Restituyo (.310) was 1-for-3, hitting his second home run.
