Lavigne, 7 Other Top 30 Rockies Prospects To Open Season at Low-A Asheville

Former first-round draft picks Riley Pint, Ryan Rolison and Mike Nikorak are part of the 13-man pitching staff on the 25-man season-opening roster for Low-A Asheville. The Tourists roster also include first baseman Grant Lavigne, among eight of the Rockies top 30 prospects assigned to the team.

Along with No. 4 ranked Lavigne, the ranked prospects include left-handed pitcher Ryan Rolison (No. 7), right-handed pitchers Pint (No. 8), Ryan Feltner (No. 20) and Mike Nikorak (No. 23), shortstop Terrin Vavra (No. 14), and outfielders Daniel Montano (No. 21) and Willie MacIver (No. 30).

Robinson Cancel returns for a second year as the managers with pitching coach Mark Brewer, who was the Tourists pitching coach (2014-16), returns after serving in a similar role at Triple-A Albuquerque in 2017 and Double-A Hartford last year, and hitting coach Norberto Martin, returning for a third year in Asheville.

Randy Ingle, who spent the last years 41 in the Braves system, will be the Supervisor of Development with the Tourists.
