Rolison on a Roll in Pro Ball; Doesn't Miss a Step in Move to High-A Lancaster

Tracy Ringolsby

Ryan Rolison, the Rockies first-round draft pick a year ago out of the University of Mississippi, is moving through the system at a fast pace. He hass passed the grade at rookie-level Grand Junction last year, and Low-A Asheville to start this season. Now, he's taking care of business at High-A Lancaster.

After going 2-1 with a 0.61 ERA in three starts at Asheville this year, he is winless in two starts at Lancaster, allowing two runs on eight hits in 12 innings, striking out 11. That comes after debuting on pro ball a year ago, where he was on a limited work load. He was 0-1 in nine starts, but had a 1.86 ERA, allowing six earned runs and striking out 34 in 29 innings.

He allowed two runs in one start, one run in four and no runs in four starts for Grand Junction.
