Antonio Senzatela, who opened the season on the injured list with an infected right heal, makes his third start of the season, and first appearance against the Braves. Fried is making his third career appearance, second start, against the Rockies. He allowed one earned run in six innings of an April 9 win at Coors Field.
Senzatela and Fried are both making their third career appearance against the opposition, and it is the second start for both. Fried won his only start against the Rockies, and while Senzatela had a no decision in his start on Aug. 18 last year, the Rockies did win the game.
Neither pitcher has faced a hitter from the opposing team in more than four at-bats. The current Braves who have faced Senzatela are only 5-for-21 lifetime against him one extra-base hit -- a double byu Ronald Acuna, Jr. The current Rockies are 8-for-29 against Fried, including a Trevor Story home run, and doubles by Mark Reynolds and Tony Wolters.
