On Deck: Rockies at Yankees, Friday, Saturday and Sunday

The Rockies haven't had must success at home of late but will the road be a welcome break? The road does take them to Yankee Stadium to face a Yankee team that has the best winning percentage of any big-league team -- .653 compared to Dodgers .646.

The Rockies do have three of their four proven starters in the series -- Kyle Freeland, Antonio Senzatela and German Marquez. They are all three looking for rebound victories. The Yankees are coming off a doubleheader sweep of Tampa Bay on Thursday and will start lefties J.A. Happ on Friday and James Paxton on Sunday.

The Rockies Injured List is down to three players -- each out for the rest of the season. The Yankees, meanwhile, have 12 players on the Injured List. Ten are on the 60-day IL, including Colorado native Greg Bird, and Troy Tulowitzki, a former Rockies All-Star.

The Rockies are in a funk, having lost eight of their last 10 games, including five of seven on the just-completed homestand. They were swept in four games by the Giants. The Yankees have won three in a row, giving them a 6-4 record in their last 10 games.

The Rockies and Yankees are meeting for the first time in three years. The Yankees lead the all-time series 10-9, although the Rockies won three of four from the Yankees in 2016, splitting two games at Yankee Stadium.
