Chi Chi Gonzalez has made major strides in his last three starts.He is 1-0, but has allowed only four earned runs in 16 1/3 innings. He is scheduled to start Saturday night against the Dodgers, who he allowed to runs in 6 1/3 innings at Dodger Stadium on Sept. 3. Look for Kyle Freeland, however, to be activated and get the call to work two or three innings before starting at San Francisco next week.
The Rockies lineup will face a challenge in Walker Buehler, who is 4-0 against the Rockies in his last five starts against Colorado.
The current Dodgers have hit only .245 against Gonzalez, but Joc Pederson is 4-for-7 against him, although he has struck out twice. Justin Turner is 1-for-7, but the hit was the only hoem run Gonzalez has allowed a current Dodgers. Charlie Blackmon has not been bothered by Buehler, hitting .400 against him.
