The Rockies turn to right-hander German Marquez looking to rebound from Saturday's loss and claim the series from the Orioles. Marquez has been the Rockies most consistent starting pitcher. The Orioles will counter with David Hess, who is a combined 4-16 since the start of last year. Neither pitcher has ever started against the Sunday opponent.
The two pitchers have only limited exposure to members of the opposing roster. Keon Broxton and Jonathan Villar are the only Orioles to have faced Marquez, and both are 2-for-3 against him. Rockies Daniel Murphy and Mark Reynolds are both 0-for-2 against Hess, but neither figures to be in the lineup Sunday.
