Peter Lambert makes his fifth start in the big leagues -- his third at Coors Field and his second against the Dodgers. Lambert has no decisions in his last two starts after winning the first two -- both against the Cubs. Walker Buehler will be on the mound for the Dodgers. The right-hander is 8-1, including a complete-game victory against the Rockies at Dodger Stadium last Friday in which he allowed two runs on three hits, and struck out 16. He has won his last three starts against the Rockies.
Lambert has only that one game against the Dodgers, but his biggest challenge was Alex Verdugo, who was 2-for-3 with a home run. Buehler has dominated Rockies hitters. The current roster has a combined .168 average against him. Charlie Blackmon (.292) is the only Rockies regular hitting above .250 against him. Nolan Arenado has hit .211.
