EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State women's basketball and the Big Ten Conference announced the 2019-20 conference breakdown on Wednesday.
For the second-straight season, the Big Ten will have an 18-game schedule after two seasons of a 16-game docket. The conference played an 18-game league schedule in both 2015-16 and 2014-15. This will be the is the sixth time in the last 13 years the conference has played an 18-game schedule.
Michigan State will play in-state rival Michigan, along with Northwestern, Penn State, Purdue and Rutgers in home-and-home contests. At the Breslin Center, MSU will host Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio State, and Wisconsin. In road games, the Spartans will travel to Nebraska, Northwestern, Rutgers and Wisconsin.
The complete schedule with the dates will be announced at a later date.
The Spartans finished the 2018-19 season with a 21-12 record, advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Michigan State was led by three players in double figures in Shay Colley (14.1 ppg), Jenna Allen (12.5 ppg) and Nia Clouden (12.0 ppg).
