20 PA WR/DB JEHVONN LEWIS TALKS MICHIGAN STATE SPARTAN FOOTBALL RECRUITING!
Jehvonn Lewis is going into his senior year at Bethel Park High School in Bethel Park, PA. with determination to show he is ready for college ball. Spartan Nation got a hold of Lewis to talk about the recruiting process and what he is looking forward to as he starts his senior year of football.
“I’ve been enjoying it so far. Things haven’t really gone as planned. I don’t really have any offers, but I’ve been close to getting some offers. I keep working hard and it will pay off.”
Lewis is having a slow and frustrating start due to an injury he received in his junior season. He feels that is what is holding him back and that the beginning of this next season should open doors for him.
“Very important. One of the coaches said he would be in touch with me after the first three games. Those first couple of games are going to get me started. Last year I had a fast start and didn’t finish very well because of an injury, but I look forward to getting off to the start I did the first three games of my junior season.”
Lewis has been talking to Toledo and William and Mary so far, but just recently had some contact with Michigan State University.
“It would mean a lot to me. It would mean everything. That’s one of the biggest schools; that would be the biggest school that’s ever talked to me. It would be considered now that I’ve got in touch with a Michigan State recruiter. It would definitely be.”
Talking to recruits about their performances and what they do best tells a lot about a young man. Lewis told Spartan Nation what he does best and the speed in which he does it.
“Run, that’s a good part of my game and I use that to my advantage. I clocked in at a 4.43.”
Lewis’s senior year is just around the corner and he is staying focused in the classroom preparing himself for college. He has set goals for himself, so keep your eyes and ears open for this young man’s name.
“Currently, I ended this year, my overall average in high school was a 3.77 gpa, I basically round it up to a 3.8. My scores are very good. My goal is to go play division 1 football and be the best football player I can be and keep my grades up.”
