Free-agent safety T.J. Ward no longer faces chargers on marijuana possession.

The state of Florida on Thursday dropped all charges against Ward, according to joebucsfan.com, citing Hillsborough County clerk records.

Ward was arrested in early January and charged with a felony count of possession of marijuana, as well as a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

A member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the time, Ward became an unrestricted free agent in March. He initially had been arrested on Oct. 25, 2017, when Tampa police officers responded to an “active intrusion alarm” at Ward’s apartment.

Ward, 31, appeared in 12 games, making five starts, with the Buccaneers in 2017. He signed with the club in September after being released by the Denver Broncos.

A two-time Pro Bowl selection during his first seven seasons with the Cleveland Browns and Broncos, Ward has eight interceptions, 8.5 sacks and 590 tackles in 107 games.
