Five-star offensive tackle Devontae Dobbs of Belleville High School in Belleville, Mich., has committed to Michigan State.
The 6-4, 304-pound Dobbs, ranked as the No. 13 overall recruit and No. 3 offensive tackle according to 247Sports’ Composite 2019 class rankings, made his commitment via Twitter.
“I am blessed and extremely excited to announced that I will be continuing my academic and football career at Michigan State,” Dobbs wrote. “All Glory to God! I want to thank my family and coaches for supporting me all these years and ask for you continued support. I have a very strong village and I love them. Also, I want to thank all the coaches that have recruited me and have given me an opportunity to play at their prestigious University.”
Dobbs is the Spartans’ highest-ranked recruit in the 2019 class, and their second top-100 commit. His commitment gives the Spartans the 25th-ranked recruiting class in the country and the seventh-best in the Big Ten.
