Former Michigan State defensive lineman Cassius Peat is transferring to Virginia.
Peat left Michigan State in 2016 because of academic problems and spent the past two seasons at junior colleges in Arizona.
Virginia announced Saturday that Peat transferred to the school and will continue his playing career.
Peat has two years of eligibility remaining and can play this season.
Peat committed to UCLA out of high school and it was believed he would transfer there but decided on the Cavaliers.
