Late risers make a jump up Rang's Final Top 100 Big Board

Wide receivers get much of the attention but the TE class has scouts more excited. Watch out for late risers like San Diego State's Kahale Warring and Mississippi's Dawson Knox to "surprise" as top 64 selections.© Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

NFL teams would be wise to take advantage of this year's unique talent along the d-line, as well as at S, TE and OT.

Scouting for nearly 20 years provides me an element of perspective that few other NFL draft analysts can offer.

By now, you’ve heard that this year’s defensive line class is extraordinary. I’ll take it further. It is the best I’ve seen in my career. But overshadowed by the group of edge rushers and run-stuffers are bountiful crops at tight end, safety and offensive tackle, as well. Players who will prove starters early in their careers can be found throughout Day Two at these positions with exciting sleepers available later who may develop into front-line players with a little refining.

Alas, that is not the case at some of the most iconic positions in the game, including quarterback, running back and inside linebacker.

The Big Board is not a mock draft. No attention is paid to team needs. There have been updates based on news from the Combine and Pro Days but experience has proven that too much tinkering based on workouts in shorts will fall short once the pads and helmets return in the fall.

If you are looking for analysis of these players, check out the full strengths, weaknesses and statistics available in NFLDraftScout.com’s Draft Bible, which is available immediately via download.

Quite simply, this is my personal ranking of the top 100 NFL prospects available for the 2019 NFL Draft.
