The son of former LSU coach Les Miles is transferring from Nebraska to Texas A&M to play for new coach Jimbo Fisher.
Ben Miles, a fullback, announced his plans via Twitter on Sunday.
“Made it to Campus… I am really excited about my opportunity here in College Station!” Miles’ post read. “Once again, thank you to the coaches that recruited me to Nebraska and invested in me for a year. This is my next step. I can’t wait to get started!”
Miles redshirted his freshman year in 2017 and must sit out this season because of NCAA transfer rules.
A traditional fullback, Miles’ position was eliminated because it does not fit the style of new Cornhuskers coach Scott Frost.
Fisher coached under Les Miles at LSU as an offensive coordinator before taking the same job under Bobby Bowden at Florida State. Fisher eventually succeeded Bowden in 2010.
