Davis announced on social media Friday that he plans to head to another school as a graduate transfer.

Although he did not put up huge overall numbers for the Huskies, recording 22 catches for 237 yards, Davis had a team-leading six touchdown receptions this season.

A converted quarterback who moved to wide receiver before settling in at tight end, Davis had 47 catches for 489 yards and seven scores over three seasons.

While not disclosing where he plans to play while finishing his master’s degree, Davis wrote on his Twitter account how grateful he was for the opportunity to play Division 1 football.

“And to UConn Nation, thank you for the support you have shown me over the past four years,” he wrote. “Coming in as a 17-year-old kid I was welcomed with open arms, and I cannot thank you guys enough for the support you showed me as well as the team during my career.

“It has been a sincere privilege to call myself a UConn Husky for the last four years. UConn will always hold a special place in my heart, and I will always bleed blue.”

Although Davis recently said he planned to return to UConn for his final year of eligibility, he became the third player on the team to recently announce plans to leave the program via social media.
