New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was selected by his peers as the No. 1 player in the league for the second year in a row on the NFL Network’s Top 100 list.
Brady, who also received the top spot in the poll in 2011, earned NFL Most Valuable Player honors for the third time in his career in 2017.
“Thank you! I am beyond blessed,” the 40-year-old Brady commented on the NFL’s Instagram post. “Football is the ultimate team sport and I love playing for my teammates, coaches, organization, family and our fans!! Congratulations to all the players recognized for 2017, but 2018 is upon us.”
Brady threw for a league-best 4,577 yards along with 32 touchdowns and only eight interceptions last season.
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown was ranked second after recording 101 receptions for an NFL-best 1,533 yards and nine touchdowns in 14 games in 2017.
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz finished third in the poll after throwing for 33 touchdowns against seven interceptions in 13 games before a knee injury ended his season.
Atlanta Falcons wideout Julio Jones was listed fourth after collecting 88 receptions for 1,444 yards and three touchdowns in 2017.
Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell finished fifth in the poll after rushing for 1,291 yards and a career-high nine touchdowns last season while catching a personal-best 85 passes for 655 yards and two scores.
Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley and defensive tackle Aaron Donald ranked sixth and seventh, respectively. New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers rounded out the Top 10.
