Giants continue adding former Cardinals to the defense.

The Giants have certainly been busy trying to shape their 2019 roster.

In addition to adding receiver Golden Tate, safety Antoine Bethea and edge rusher Markus Golden, the Giants signed defensive lineman Olsen Pierre, who like Bethea and Golden, previously played for defensive coordinator James Bettcher when he was with the Cardinals.

The 28-year-old Pierre played his college ball at Miami (Fla.). He went undrafted in 2015, and got his first

Pierre, who will turn 28 years old in August, went undrafted out of Miami in 2015 and didn’t make his NFL debut until 2017, when he appeared in 14 games with seven starts.

The 6-5, 295-pound Pierre will compete to be part o the Giants defensive line rotation. The Giants have already lost Josh Mauro (Oakland) and Mario Edwards (Saints) in free agency.

Defensive end Kerry Wynn is also an unrestricted free agent whose status is up in the air.

I would feel a lot better if we were signing players off of teams that were any good. The Cardinals are horrid. Doesn't it, therefore, stand that the Giants are going to be horrid? Just because they played for Bettcher doesn't make them good.
