A small school prospect who wasn't invited to the NFL scouting combine, linebacker Josiah Tauaefa has had to earn everything he's gotten thus far.
An undersized defensive end in high school, he was converted to linebacker in college and had himself a very productive year in three seasons at UTSA. Tauaefa finished with 255 total tackles, 121 solo and 22.5 for a loss. He also added 11.5 sacks and one interception.
Ranked as Walter Football's 5th best college linebacker prospect, Tauaefa projects as a two-down inside linebacker at the NFL level.
The numbers right now don't favor Tauaefa's chances for a spot on the 53-man roster, but with that said, he has an intriguing blend of talent that perhaps the coaches can further refine if they're able to get him through to the practice squad.
