Patriots release statement regarding civil lawsuit against Antonio Brown

New England was quick to release a statement the same night the lawsuit was made public.

Not too soon after a civil lawsuit was made public Tuesday night that accused Antonio Brown of sexually assaulting his former trainer, Britney Taylor on multiple occasions the New England Patriots released a statement regarding the situation.

Here is what the statement says, courtesy of Nick Underhill of The Athletic.

It would be no surprise if New England cuts ties with the All-Pro receiver before a verdict if made by the NFL. The Patriots seldom keep players that are in similar situations like Brown is.

I almost have to think the Patriots have in-depth knowledge of these allegations already and know that they are false or untrue or else they would have already cut him. If it was even a 50-50 chance I don't think they would risk it.

He was on the field today; I wonder if the progression in court will have a negative impact on future training/play for him
