Wide receiver De'Mornay Pierson-El has signed with the Oakland Raiders, the team announced on Thursday.
The 23-year-old Pierson-El was recently with the Salt Lake Stallions in the American Alliance Football League, making 36 receptions this season for 414 yards and a touchdown in eight games.
The 5-9, 195-pound Pierson-El was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Nebraska by the Washington Redskins in May of 2018, but was waived later that month. Then he spent time with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League.
A native of Alexandria, Va., Pierson-El caught 100 passes for 1,309 yards and 11 touchdowns at Nebraska, in addition to rushing 26 times for 67 yards. He also returned 67 punts for 875 yards and three touchdowns for the Cornhuskers, earning All-American honors as a kick returner as a freshman.
In a corresponding move, the Raiders waived wide receiver Saeed Blacknall, who spent his rookie season with Oakland on the practice squad last year before signing a new free agent contract in January.
