Early Candidates​ for the Houston Texans Opening at General Manager

Four early names for the Houston Texans opening at the general manager after Brian Gaine's exit.

The Houston Texans parted ways with general manager Brian Gaine just after 18 months into a five-year contract on Friday. The Texans and CEO Cal McNair opted to move in a different direction with the general manager position starting their search for Gaine's replacement immediately.

Football Operations will run by Senior Vice President of Football Administration Chris Olsen while the search for the new general manager takes place.

Here are some early candidates for the opening for the Texans.

Nick Cesario

Current Position: Patriots Director of Player Personnel

Age: 41

Scouting intern for the Texans in 2002 and pro and college assistant for the Texans in 2004 - 2005 college scout.
