The Houston Texans have met with Virginia safety Juan Thornhill at the Reese’s Senior Bowl. The Texans are on hand for practice week to get a closer look at players to start and iron out their draft profiles moving towards the NFL Draft.
At the Senior Bowl, the San Francisco 49ers coaching staff is going to work Thornhill at both cornerback and safety to get him in front of scouts at both positions.
Thornhill during weigh-ins check in at 6-foot and weighed 202 lbs. His hand size was 8 1/2 inches, and an arm length of 31 1/3 inches.
At Virginia, he started all 13 games for the Cavaliers and finished 3rd in the nation with six interceptions. He also led the defense with 98 total tackles and 7 pass break ups. His 141 return yards on interceptions was a school record.
In four seasons, Thornhill appeared in 46 games and put up 208 total tackles with 13 interceptions and 39 passes defensed.
